Hello! I am not a native english speaker and I am not quite sure about the exact meaning of this sentence:

"Each daily experience is scored dichotomously with higher scores representing better days
(more positive and less negative daily experience or affect"

I looked up "dichotomously", but the definition did not give me enough insight to fully understand the sentence. Could you please give me an good explanation of what the sentence exactly means?

The term was used wrong and confusing.

What the meaning is that you understand that how you present yourself, what you say, and what you do tells someone else who you are.  A dichotomy is all about how how you make yourself special or disguish yourself.
