For my eyes have seen your salvation.
My question is what does the word 'for' stand for? Is it 'because'? Can this word be used in creative writing today?
Thank you

The King James Version was written in a style that was considered poetic, rather than standard, even at the time. Nobody actually talked that way. The original texts did not contain punctuation, verse numbers, chapters, page headings, center references, and many other things that are expected in English.
You only need five books to study the bible:
1. A King James bible. Other versions are ok, but the KJV has been stable for 400 years and the others have not.
2. An English dictionary.
3. An Interlinear Greek-English Translation Of The New Testament, any brand.
4. An exhaustive concordance. There are several brands, but everybody seems to use Strong's. I like Young's because it is easier to use.
5. A Hebrew lexicon, if you study the old testament.
A bible atlas will also be helpful, but you can get along without it. A book that is very good for getting started is "How To Enjoy The Bible" by E. W. Bullinger. It's a free download and you can get a hard copy at any bible book store. philologos.org/__eb-htetb/
I almost forgot to give you a straight answer: yes, and yes.
2 Timothy 2:15 says the man of God may rightly divide the word of truth. That's important because you can't quote the entire bible when you need one verse.
The word For doesn't have a major significant meaning. The same way the word "the" isn't necessarily significant. Although depending on the context it could but usually it does not. It appears to be more of a way of speaking rather than conveying a specific meaning.
What made you think of this question in such a manner?
1 Tim 3:16 says ALL SCRIPTURE is inspired of God. So you need the complete bible to be fully competent completely equipped. It is unwise to pick and choose portions of the bible. So studying the complete bible would be the best way to go
