Jesus’ resurrection validates all that he taught. Paul wrote that if Christ had not been raised from the dead, Christian faith and preaching would be in vain. Without the resurrection of Jesus, the Gospel accounts become only a sad story of a good and wise man who was put to death by his enemies. But Christ did rise, confirming the truthfulness of all that he taught, including what he said about the future. Christ’s resurrection bears silent, though eloquent, testimony to the greatness of Jehovah, who “becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.” (Heb. 11:6)
As for Easter: Many of the Easter traditions “have little to do” with Jesus’ resurrection. Promoted as a celebration of Christ’s resurrection, Easter is actually rooted in false religion. The name Easter itself has been linked to Eostre, or Ostara, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of the dawn and of spring. And how did eggs and rabbits come to be associated with Easter? Eggs have been prominent as symbols of new life and resurrection, while the hare and the rabbit have long served as symbols of fertility. Easter, therefore, is really a fertility rite thinly disguised as a celebration of Christ’s resurrection. Jehovah would never condone the use of a filthy fertility rite to commemorate his Son’s resurrection!
The resurrection of Jesus proves that God's promises will come true. Jesus resurrection convinces me that all the promises God made to us will come through. Let's look at some of the promises God made to us through Jesus :
1) After his resurrection Jesus will start fulfilling the role mention at Daniel 7:14, "And to him there were given rulership, honor, and a kingdom, that the people's, nations, and language groups should all serve him. His rulership is an everlasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom will not be destroyed."
So only because Jesus proved obedient to the point of death was this promise fulfill.
Where else in God's word,is this Kingdom mention?
2) Daniel 2:44, "In the days of those Kings the God of heaven will, set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms , and it alone will stand forever."
So Daniel 7:14 and Daniel 2:44"proves after Jesus resurrection when he return to heaven he was given kingship in God's heavenly kingdom . It says Jesus kingship will last forever and it will put an end to all the other kingdoms or governments. This is the blessings Jesus being resurrected and returning to heaven will bring to all obedient mankind. Can you imagine having only one Government ruling over the whole earth. It may seem impossible but keep in mind this is a Heavenly Government, and Jesus will,be the King or President in that kingdom. A perfect kingdom with perfect rulers, no wonder why that kingdom will stand forever . All mankind problems will be solve no more prejudice, wickedness, poverty, selfishness and the list goes on and on that human Governments condole or don't have the capability to eradicate.
Imagine under the resurrected Jesus rule no more tears, pain and even death will be gone forever. Could any other Government offer such blessings? None put, together have the ability to eliminate any of mankind problems.
What other blessings Jesus resurrection provide?
3) Because of Jesus sacrificial death, he proved what true love is. John 15:13 says, "No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his life in behalf of his friends ." Imagine Jesus refering to us as his friends, giving up his life for us. Is not this a precious gift " Only by means of,Jesus sacrificial death was this special invitation possible.
