Freedom of religion in India is a fundamental right guaranteed by the country's constitution. Freedom of religion is established in tradition as Hinduism doesn't recognise labels of distinct religions and has no concept of blasphemy. Every citizen of India has a right to practice and promote their religions peacefully

According to most countries constitutions, there is freedom to worship to whom you want, as you please, when you please. However that is on paper, there is always white out for any paper no matter how old it is.
Here is the real question, who's law is higher, God's or man's, The Creator or the creation?
Peter one of Jesus apostles made this statement, found in the Bible at Acts 5:29 “We must obey God as ruler rather than men". The apostles thereby set a precedent for true Christians throughout the ages. Human rulers forfeit their right to obedience in situations where they prohibit what God requires or require what God prohibits.
For those who are set on doing things God's way according to his word the Bible, no matter what, they will continue to apply what is stated in Acts 5:29.

They may say that on paper, but that's not how it plays out in real life. There is a lot of religious persecution that happens in India, and it is not curtailed by the government.
