What does shag mean?

Lol, in England it is a phrase used, to say the individual wants to have sex (Shag also means in England f**k). But the term being used is ruff and vulgar and not really the best thing to say amongst polite company especially in the south of England. The term shag is fairly common knowledge amongst all English and Irish. The term can be found used a fair bit in the midlands and north of England.
