Orwhat does geography of a country mean?

Geography means a picture of the land but not plants and animals. Only rivers and mountains and soil. French geography has a lot of rivers, and some cities have duplicate names, so people might not know which way a town is but they are always aware of what river it is on.
That has been a problem in war. The French invented a machine gun and shipped a trainload of guns to the front. But there were two fronts, and the train carrying the bullets went to the other front. Similar problems have always plagued the French. That is what happens when people don't study the geography of their country.
