As part of my extensive research work for my university project on &lsquo;Black Lives Matter&rsquo;, I have to decided to ask what does &lsquo;Being Black in 2015&rsquo; and &lsquo;Black Lives Matter&rsquo; mean to you.

Racism has sadly, always been a part of being black in America. Recently, however, things have really been heating up as more people are sharing and seeing more media coverage of police or general public abuse. I've observed a unseen entity adding fuel to the fire. It seems that recently there are media articles that are more blatantly racist than ever and more KKK agendas are becoming more exposed. The church killings for example, seems painfully scripted as if it were planned with the sole intention of increasing the tension of black against white. Being black in 2015 means finding the truth about why we are being pitted against each other and why are we being toyed with in this way. United we stand, divided we fall. We need to find out why we are becoming more divided than ever, and why our own nation wants to see everyone fall.
