I received an offer letter from an employer after being called and told I got hired. In the offer letter it has my start date, hourly pay, when I’ll receive my first paycheck and my hours. At the beginning of the letter it says that the offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. They have already given me the job and I have a start date and everything. I have never been background checked after being hired. Do you think they will actually background check me or could they just be saying that. I know this may seem like a dumb question but I know for a fact I won’t pass a background check. I’m getting my record expunged but I’m not sure if they just put that as a way to kind of pick out people who may have records or if they actually will background check me. Any advice or insight would help!
