What do you need to become a surgeon..? ( In The USA and The UK )?

Most states in the US have a medical college, that would be the easiest way to become a Surgeon. So if you are planning on moving to the US for school I'd suggest looking into some of those.
I'm not sure how it works in the UK.

You need to be accepted into medical school. In UK it will be a university attached to a hospital. After you qualify as a doctor, you may specialise in surgery.

Gaining a place for a medical degree is very competitive. You need more than high academic achievements. You need to show commitment through voluntary work (preferably in hospitals). Also extra curricular activities (eg Duke of Edinburgh Awards in UK).
