Well that is a very Vague question I am not sure if you want to know the history of Christianity or just a certain aspect of it.
In today world many people Call them selves Christians in whom I would consider not to be Christians. Such as Jehovah witnesses or Catholics to name a couple a true christian as defined by the bible is some one who believes in Jesus Christ and what he did for us on the cross and that he is the ONLY way to be saved and salvation is by no other means, thus excluding catholic, Mormons, Jehovah witnesses, church of Christ and the list goes on. A christian believes that Jesus Christ died on the cross for all of our sins rose again three days later and that the only way to heaven is to believe on him and that it is not of works but faith in Christ. A true christian believes in the trinity that God is three in one, and a true christian believes the bible is Gods inspired word and our authority here on earth. There are over 33k domination according to a google search on Christianity but they are not all truly christian as bibically defined.

As far as the history of Christianity there is a lot that goes into it but basically it all starts with Jewish faith and Adam and Eve in a garden a few thousand years ago.

Many of the Christian beliefs taught to anchor on pass, Greek philosophers. One of them, Plato who profoundly influenced the religious beliefs of millions of people, including professed Christians, many of whom wrongly assume that these beliefs are based on the Bible. Foremost among Plato’s teachings is the concept that humans have an immortal soul that survives the death of the physical body. Plato had a deep interest in life after death. The book Body and Soul in Ancient Philosophy says that “the immortality of the soul is one of Plato’s favorite topics.” He was firmly convinced that “the soul outlives its present incarnation, to be duly rewarded or punished” in the afterlife, based on how the person lived while on earth.

The Bible teaches that the dead are asleep, as it were, awaiting a resurrection. (Ecclesiastes 9:5; John 11:11-14; Acts 24:15) In contrast, so-called immortal souls cannot die and would need no resurrection.

Another question to ask is; "Does the Bible teach the Trinity doctrine?
“God is only one.” says Galatians 3:20.
Dominican priest Marie-Émile Boismard wrote in his book À l’aube du christianisme—La naissance des dogmes (At the Dawn of Christianity—The Birth of Dogmas): “The statement that there are three persons in the one God . . . cannot be read anywhere in the New Testament.” The dogma that Constantine championed was intended to put an end to dissensions within the fourth-century Church. However, it actually raised another issue: Was Mary, the woman who bore Jesus, “the Mother of God”?
The Bible teaches one thing, but people believe in another thing.
What some want you to believe is God is divided, 3 faced as it states, in many of their teaching. Compare these Bible verses: Matthew 26:39; John 14:28; 1 Corinthians 15:27, 28; Colossians 1:15, 16.
