When two or more people live in the same area they have to adopt some rules about who does what to whom. Any such rule is called a more', French accented e pronounced "mor-ay". The adjective form is moral, and the habit of following more's is morality. More's are arbitrary: they do not have to be right, only accepted. Another group on the other side of the river might have very different more's.
Generally it's what your religion teaches you.
But where does that religion get its information? It's how each religion's founder or founders choose to view it and call it good or bad depending on what they want. If it wasn't then we'd all be living with the same rules.
One religion says its a sin to eat pork, one religion says its a sin to drink coffee or tea or sodas with caffeine. One religion says its a sin to have blood transfusions. One religion says it a sin to shave your beards or cut your hair. One religion says its sinful to use electricity or drive cars. One religion says its a sin to use birth control. Every religion has its own list.
