What Computer works best on graphics?

I like to create projects with 3D animators but what pc is the best for graphics?
A fast pc for graphics. Would a MacBook Air work well? It's way to expensive to get a Mac. Please Help!

Hello,
I heard that P4s are faster than AMDs. But in my personal opinion P4s are faster on s/w application while AMDs are faster on gaming but I think you should go for AMDs.
