My internet is not the slowest thing in the world but it's not the fastest either, it's average you could say but i need help on making my minecraft less laggy pleas.
What can I do so my minecraft won't be so laggy?

You can look at the sky and you'll get more fps (frames per second) and your game will be less laggy until you stop looking at the sky. You can also delete stuff you downloaded or just not download much of anything. Also deleting/remvoing files is a good way to reduce lag. Put these files on a flash drive or a backup if you don't want to lsoe them when you remove them.
Make sure your java is up to date first, secondly minecraft has nothing to do with internet speeds it's a java based game which runs off your PC, if your PC is slow so will your game be and as it's java based it can be quitte demanding on the processor. Thirdly turning off programs that run in the background will increase the speed of your PC anyway so have a look a that and lastly I've found that having a browser open at the same time that I try to play minecraft does slow it down a lot especially firefox, keep your browser closed while you paly and you're fine. DO NOT DELETE any files in the game that will f**k it up and mods may cause minecraft to lag but only if they introduce a lot of new artifacts. Normally a mod will cause minedcraft to just crash not lag if it is too heavy.
Basically, if you are playing mincraft, a java based game, with all other programs turned off (browser, music, video) and it is still lagging then you have a PC that is slow as sh*t or has many many background programs running sucking up all the PC's resources.
