My hours where cut at work, I txt my manager as that was our main form of communication, I said it was pathetic they cut my hours after they told me they wouldn't, I told him I was hired full time and had the right to collect unemployment for the difference in hours , he replied and told me not to come into work in the morning to just come in and bring my uniform shirts and get my final pay check as I was terminated as of that day, so I told him ok. I applied for unemployment and I got a letter back from them that I did not qualify because my previous employer reported I was discharged for "breaking a reasonable employer rule". What can I do about this ? I have screen shots of the txt msg conversation between the manager and I that clearly shows he discharged me through txt after a simple complaint about my hours being cut..
