First you should figure out what you are talking about, using only words of one or two syllables. One third of your question consists of three syllable words, and that is too much. Albert Einstein said "If you can't explain what you know so a barmaid understands it, you don't know it."
Second, you can not assume that your audience knows what "authentication process" means, even though they might be well educated.
Third, google.com and wikipedia.com are the first places to check for any factual topic, just to be sure you know what you are looking for. You can't use wikipedia for a reference, but you can use the links at the end of the article if they are still active. Google gets you stuff like this:
Definition - What does Biometric System mean?
A biometric system is a technological system that uses information about a person (or other biological organism) to identify that person. Biometric systems rely on specific data about unique biological traits in order to work effectively. A biometric system will involve running data through algorithms for a particular result, usually related to a positive identification of a user or other individual.

That word "unique" tells you that there is no general answer to your question. It depends entirely on your context.
Wikipedia says this:
Biometric identifiers are the distinctive, measurable characteristics used to label and describe individuals.[2] Biometric identifiers are often categorized as physiological versus behavioral characteristics.[3] Physiological characteristics are related to the shape of the body. Examples include, but are not limited to fingerprint, palm veins, face recognition, DNA, palm print, hand geometry, iris recognition, retina and odour/scent. Behavioral characteristics are related to the pattern of behavior of a person, including but not limited to typing rhythm, gait, and voice.[4][note 2] Some researchers have coined the term behaviometrics to describe the latter class of biometrics.[5]

You said "air". That indicates that you do not yet understand what you are talking about.
