So lets look at physics, what is physics? well i have a giant book titles "Physics" as well as some notes. So according to my teacher, physics is one of the three branches of natural science which consist of biological science, physical science, and earth science. Physical science in itself consists of chemistry and physics, physics is the study of interactions between matter and energy. If you remember newtons laws, kinetic, and potential energy you remember physics. If you know physics it will benefit you with all branches of natural science. Another part of any science is technology and technology is science applied to regular life. For instance, medicine is biological science applied to life, seismographs are earth science applied to life, and newtons laws of motion is physical science applied to life. Now as boring a subject physics can be it is really interesting, I would describe it as the clockwork of the universe because everything follows the laws of physics. So what does physics help us with in real life? a better question is what it doesn't help with. When your car crashes, you are held into the seat with the seat belt so your body is slowed down with the car instead of you flying out the window as the car stops and you keep on traveling at 55 MPH until happy gravity brings you back down at 32 ft/s (minus air resistance) Physics. As you fall from a plane only with the happy knowledge that a parachute is going to spread you full weight over a larger surface area letting the air gently push you up as gravity interacts with your mass to push you down. Fortunately, the net force is still leaning toward gravity's favor, but the net force is lowered because of air resistance, meaning the rate of your acceleration is lowered, meaning you won't hit the ground as hard as you normally would, Physics. So physics isn't really a matter of technology as a whole, but rather benefits all who know it more understanding and knowing is half the battle weather it be war, inventions, or the simple quarterback throwing the game winning pass in the super bowl, physics can explain it.
