When it comes to the music and poetry that I write, due to the structure and abilities of my mind, I write it two different ways. In music, I not only make the lyrics flow, but also rhyme, and in poetry you focus more on the rhythm and flow, but also want to rhyme every now and then to keep reader engaged and to add more support for your poem.
The similarities are that both music and poetry rely on flow, and structure to support their topics, however music is best when it's more repetitive, however poetry is best when it travels, in other words, it has a topic that needs to be expounded upon, and carried through to end in an unexpected yet relevant way.
You can check out my question about a poem to study the poem if you want: https://www.question.com/1498001/
If you have any tips or feel the need to criticize it, please do! I'm always ready to learn ! : ) Thanks for you time.
