Chlamydia is usually fairly benign IF TREATED PROMPTLY with a FULL COURSE of antibiotics. If you don't get it treated (it is curable, by the way, if your dumbass doctor didn't tell you) it could lead to severe complications including Pelvic Inflammatory Disease resulting in damage to your baby. GET TREATMENT!!!!
If you do, everything should be fine. Severe side effects such as birth defects are not caused by simple bacterial infections like chlamydia when treated. In fact, even without treatment, the bacteria only get to the fetus less than 1% of the time, due to the blood filtering properties of the placenta. Don't worry. Just see a doctor and chill, okay?
Infection with chlamydia during pregnancy can lead to abortion, premature delivery, premature rupture of membranes, postpartum fever and other adverse pregnancy outcomes. It can also lead to perinatal complications such as fetal growth retardation, low birth weight, neonatal pneumonia, and meningitis, which are extremely harmful to the health of women and children. Check and treat with herbal medicine fuyan pills as soon as possible.
Chlamydia can cause infertility and other problems.
