I have taken on a small (pro bono) job to record some guitar for a computer game, the issue is my home recording setup is comparatively cheap, and I get some latency while recording my guitar (not much probably 20-40ms ish) what I'm recording is 10 mins of triplets at 132 bpm, and, im pretty sure this is due to the latency and not my playing, but I've been trying for weeks and its always wavers out of time.
My solution has been to drop the speed of the track to half time and then speed up the audio back to the correct tempo, I've done this now and to me it sounds pretty good, but apart from the cred of playing it at full speed (which isn't really important to me) have I overseen any other downsides to recording this way? I'm sending it to a pro producer so I don't want to look foolish!
