What are the different threats to computer hardware? What are the corresponding countermeasures?

heat-avoid overuse, cooling
abuse- take care of it
dust- clean it out once in a while
liquids- avoid liquid exposure
moisture- keep in dry cool place, often time when hardware is very cold and then goes warm condensation grows and can effect it
general wear- take care of it, replace or fix parts if necessary or feasable
