RFID technology has been commercially available in one form or the other since the late 70s, and it has now become a part of our daily lives. RFID systems can be used just about anywhere be it in employee identification, medical history/billing, clothing tags, highway toll tags, pet tags or security access cards. However, the most common uses of RFID technology include: asset tracking, retailing, supply chain management, security and access control, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and construction.
