The common causes of liver cirrhosis include chronic alcohol abuse, hepatitis B and C infections, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Long-term alcohol consumption can damage liver cells, while viral hepatitis leads to inflammation that scars the liver over time. NAFLD, often linked to obesity and diabetes, results in fat buildup in the liver, causing similar damage. Other causes include autoimmune liver diseases and genetic disorders. When cirrhosis advances, a liver transplant may be needed to restore liver function and save the patient's life. For more details visit https://livertransplant.hospital/liver-transplant/cirrhosis/
