Hello,
The past two years I've been reading books on and off, and I would like to get into reading a lot more.
I enjoy reading but have trouble finding good books and knowing what I like to read. Although, I'm open to any category as long as it's a good read.
I didn't grow up reading, as it wasn't a big thing in my family. Along with English being my least favorite subject at school, It's safe to say I haven't read many books. I don't know many classics, great authors, must-reads, etc.
What I'm asking is:
1. List of your favourite books.
2. List of some classic books.
3. A few must-read books.
4. A book you've read more than once because you love it.
5. Your favourite Author.
6. Book sites with information and forums (something like goodreads.com)
You don't have you answer all of these, but please give as much as you can, this is going to be a big help for me. Thank-You so much in advance! :)
I know I can find this information on the web, but I find myself spending hours researching and getting stuck on things I don't need to be doing. Thought I would give this a go! :)
Thanks for your advice. Although, I think you took my words the wrong way.
I'm clearly not a "real reader," and by "good" I mean what you find "good." I should have said that or used different wording like "well known." I understand how the word "good" is wrong there and will admit I could have worded that part a lot better. But If you see the questions I ask, I think that clears it all up. I just wanted to know what other peoples favourites are.
With the taste thing you mentioned, I'm am open to anything (just like movies.) I didn't want to say what type I favor because I wanted a list of different types. Of course, I will do further research I even mention that's what I usually do.

THIS HAS TO BE SAID....
Why did you start off by saying what you did then go on and give basic suggestions? Overall, it feels like you're putting me down.
I don't see how it's "wrong." Honestly, I see this happen a lot. Someone will be learning or teaching themselves something new at an older age, and they will seek out help and get put down in a way. Yes, the person asking may sound silly and not word it right, but they want to learn and know, so why put that person down. People like this need to get over their ego. Most of the happiest and successful people share their knowledge and wisdom to grow and learn from others.
This is what I took from what you said and how I'm currently feeling, I'm happy to have an open discussion.
