Most of my clients prefer an LLC, even for a single person entity, due to the liability protections, lower business insurance rates and similar advantages.
It beats being an employee. LLC is better, and corporation even better, if you can afford it where you are, or for the state you want to incorporate. Besides liability benefits, your name is also protected within your state, not just in your county.
