In space there's not much wind because of lack of gravity and air but on Earth it is a good way of getting power when there's wind. There needs to be some power to maintain it's momentum when there's not enough wind. Simon Stefin made a more efficient windmill that was about 3 times more effective than the one it replaced with math. He thought that the more clanking it made the more power loss there was and was correct. Dams use draining water that spins around which can move a propeller to move around and people can get power from that. There does not need to be any additional power to maintain the propellers momentum because gravity is constant. Solar power is good for in space and on Earth and does not need gravity unlike the rest.
