Hi, I'm currently a little worried about my three little dogs that they may have ate a pill of ibuprofen or one of them just bite into it and stopped cause only one or two had the coating kind of licked off but the pill wasn't gone(that's why it could have been my three month old puppy and he didn't eat it, but he was with me so it could have been my other dog who is a year old and tends to get into everything). My mom had the pills wrapped in a towel in her purse as she had gotten some from my grandpa, and my parents don't believe that it's harmful to dogs cause they have given it them before, but I'm not so sure from what I read online. However, my parents probably won't take the dogs and the puppy to the vet or er on my day so cause they think I'm just paranoid(to be fair I am), so I was just wondering what symptoms to look out for so in case I see them I can point them out to my parents and get them to go. Thanks for any info you provide!
I would take them myself but unfortunately being only 15 means no license.
The dogs I'm worried about are...
-Shitzu:11-12lbs-female 3-1/2 years old
-Are dog bear is a mix breed of some kind but we never found out what he was cause we got him at a Walmart who was giving them away for free as a last stop before the pound. My parents took him for his shots and stuff so they may know what breed he is but I think he's a chihuahua mix. He is a male and is also about 13lbs.
-Rio is about 4 months old and is a mix of the two dogs above. He does have a tendency to just chew on things and then spit them out if he doesn't like them. He's a pretty heavy fog though so I think the last time we weighed him he was 4-6 could be more but should be around that number)
Again all seem to be acting the same we only saw that the pills were on the floor and some looked chewed on but not gone and my mom says that she and my brother and grandpa had taken close to ten or more combined, so she said that the amount left looked them same so they may have not eaten any.
