What are some injustices inside orphanages?

I worked in social services helping foster kids hop from one place to another. Like with everything in life there are pros and cons. I would much rather see a child have a stable environment than to be going from place to place with strangers. Orphanages will always have staffing problems, not enough of something problems, administrative problems, there will be Something wrong with them...injustices? I would say that once a child turns a certain age they are transitioned out...the injustice would be that there are no safety nets the child when they are sent out to the 'real' world. The orphanages need to have an extended care program for the children as they age out, they need a bridge that connects them to the real world so that they can sustain themselves afterwards. The injustice is that once they are out there is no longer the comfort of having a stable place...even if it was not the best.
