I signed up for overdraft protection last week. I just ran out of money a couple days ago and even though I was negative I was able to withdraw money. Now they won't let me withdraw money. I'm still negative but shouldn't I be able to take money out? I have a weekly payment of unemployment as of now so the bank knows I constantly pay back. Please give me some answers
What are reasons for my debit card decline even if I have overdraft protection?

Overdraft protection is for when you spend and dont realize your account run out of funds. A couple times that might happen and they'll cover it for you but the expectation is that you'll quit spending as soon as you find out.
You know and continue to spend and withdraw money as if you are getting loans to keep on spending.
Over draft protection is NOT a loan program. It is no surprise they refused and they should have.
