Help! I am a 17~18 chinese boy that wants to be a kpop trainee. I speak english fluently and is learning korean. I can sing but lack experience in performance. Is it too late for me to become a star? Is 18 too old to start trainee life?

Probably you might be too old for being a trainee in korea
Since korea entertainment companies value your appearance you need to take care for it.
As you know you are already 18 and lack of experience they might not want you because usually korean singers debuit at the age of 18~19 and they have already trained since they were young.
But there might be a chance (if you are super handsome they wont look at your singing skills)so good luck!
By the way i am korean so there might be some incorrects. Just excuse me..
I don't know as much about getting into a korean boy group, but I do know that the process is kind of similar to that of a girl group(which I know a lot about).
This is very important.
It is NEVER too late to try.
There is a smaller chance, but it is NEVER too late(until you're a grandma or grandpa or something).
If you want to be in a popular boy group, audition for one(or all) of the big three: JYP, SM, and YG.
Learn how to dance, maybe take a modern dancing class or something. A lot of boy groups dance and everybody else will expect the same of you. If you can sing well though, you've already got a big burden down.
That is all I can give you about boy groups. Hope you found it helpful, and I hope you make it!
