I'm 17 Male an I just started a music course yesterday at my new collage doing performance and production, when I got there we say and went round the room (11ish people) and shared names an what we would like to do in the future, I shared with them that I wanted to be a rapper, then it was the person sitting next to me turn to share, when he spoke it was very, very hard to understand what he was saying, I didn't understand a word until he said the words slowly "I want to be a rapper", and people just laughed at him, I just kind of sat there shocked that they would do that to a person with a disability. Today we went on a trip to a music studio and at lunch we was told to all meet back in about a hour, I was about to walk off with people then I saw the guy just standing still confused on what to do, he looked as if he was about to cry, so I went up and tried to keep him company best I could, but when I was walking with him I kind of felt as if I was his carer, I had to ask him basic things like "what kind of music do you like?" he kept giving weird replies. when we got back I noticed he kept sitting/standing near me wherever I was.
from what he said earlier I realized he didn't really have the motivation to improve the way he speaks or ever really try with music yet he said he wants to be a rapper.
My question is should I try to help him with his music or should I leave him to himself because I can see he don't really care?
The part that kills me is his innocence when he speaks.
(Sorry for my bad English)
