After installing Microsoft office 2013, two files popped up on my desktop. One is a blank file with no name, while the other is a folder called "Microsoft OneNote NameSpace Extension For Desktop Search" When I right click on either of them, the only options are to cut, create a shortcut or to delete. I tried deleting both of them, and they appeared to be gone, but when I refreshed the desktop, there they were again. I don't know if this is some kind of malware or if it's a bug with office, but either way, if you know what's going on and how to get rid of it, please tell me!

Sometimes when you install things as important as office is there are files that appear during the installation process and you can except them by putting a click in the box.The thing it does is telling you if you want those downloaded to with the installation just don't check those boxes another way is go to control panel where it tells you whats on your computer find the file and uninstall it.
Also, after a restart, these two files disappeared. This question is answered then, I guess?
yea i think so if the problem is corrected
I know this very well, but during the office installation there was no such thing. In addition, there was no program installed in addition to Office, only these two weird files.
