If I were to eat 1000 calories a day, and burn 600, how fast would I burn weight? I would only do this for a short period of time and then slowly adjust back into a normal eating habit. Is this healthy?

i think you would like the "1200 calorie diet" twelve hundred calories is the average minimum requirement for weight loss. i've been doing it for a few months. last i checked i lost twelve pounds. the thing for this diet is portions and not eating more than twelve hundred calories. another pro is that this plan can be modified. so if you are very active you don't need to worry about starving yourself. if you're lazy just stick with twelve hundred calories. fruits and vegetables and water come pre-advertised. and you can eat almost anything you want.
people who work out alot need more calories than people who don't. in order to find out the calories you should have in a day you should talk to a dietitian. "calorie-count.com" has dietitians and good info for nutrition facts about different foods.
i'm still learning new things about how i'm dieting. now instead of doing the "1200 calorie diet" i mostly just wait until i'm hungry to eat. at first i'll have just a snack like triscuts or a nature valley bar and after about 30 minutes if i'm still hungry i will have a small meal (and usually no seconds) last i checked about a week ago i've now lost about 17 pounds. i also try to eat less animal products like meats and dairy products. but i will do eggs.
Exercise and diet both are most important for weight loss. Take a proper diet, proper diet means "eat healthy" not "eat less". Eat more salad, raw fruits and vegetable. Try to avoid read meat, oily foods, chips, pizza all those things. Do at least 1 hour exercise, you can do cardio exercise and rope jumping. Rope jumping will help you to burn more calories. 1 minutes rope jumping will burn 11calories.
Thanks for wonderful answer!
