We found a kitten who somehow got stuck in our heater vents...I saw this exact kitten a week ago outside. She is malnourished and seems to have a cold. We can't get her to a vet because we are snowed in and everyplace is closed. I've been giving her liquids and getting food, although difficult, in her. Any suggestions on how to keep her alive until I can get out tomorrow?

Good job on the liquids and food. Mostly let it rest, tuck it in (don't poke at it) and keep it a good temperature (not too hot) the cat's probably dehydrated. You didn't say how big it is. If it's really tiny: It might get bloated, in which case you need to gently rub its body (stimulating its bowels) so it can poop. Similar to what the mother would do to it. Don't give it too hot or cold liquid. If it's difficult to feed, try a dropper, or if you don't have that, use a milk soaked rag that it can suck on. Hopefully the cold won't get to it's lungs to badly. Good luck!
Thanks! We got her to the vet and she said she will be fine. She has an upper respiratory infection and morbidly malnourished. But feeding her saved her. She also gave me some Purina a/d food. She's around 2 months old and resting after her doctor visit.
