Watson - Do you think we are close to war?

What sort of war are you concerned about? There was a city of about two million people in the Indus Valley roughly 12,000 years ago, and no war. No preparation for defense at all. One day they all went away and the world has had continuous war ever since. The modern period is dated from 1861, the Paris Commune, and warfare has been continuous right up to the present invasions of middle eastern countries by the USA. So if you don't consider that to be "war", then what are you talking about?
