The best guitar in the world is the one being played by the best guitar player in the world.... in other words there is no such thing as "the best guitar" only a standard of guitar. The Gibson les Paul Standard, PRS custom 24 and the fender '52 telecaster are most widely known as the best high end guitars you can buy.
