I think the first effect would be that all the rubber washers dissolve, so every hose and pipe fitting leaks. There are many different fluids, so it depends on which one you get. The first fluid sold for dry cleaning was gasoline (xylene).

Aside: A scientist built a gizmo to detect nuclear particles from the sun. It used a bazillion gallons of dry cleaning fluid. Right away he started getting advertisements from coat hanger salesmen.
