Verizon - If you send a text,if does not say delivered was it deleted?

I sent a text this am, but it does not say received or delivered..could it been deflected before read by the person it was sent to?

try sending it again. 
otherwise, it might mean that the person you're sending to doesnt have version or the same phone so it doesn't show it was delivered
