I have someone that unfriended me, but they still show up in my messenger because I haven't deleted them. Sometimes the green dot shows that they are online, but most of the time it shows 1m. If I click on their name when it says 1m, it actually shows they are active now. It does progress if they are truly not active for periods of time longer than 1m. I just want to know if they are really online or not.

Yes if you have not blocked each other and still have messages together the you can still see when they are online.
I know, but I'm trying to figure out if they're really online when it says 1m, because it says that pretty much all the time. Once in a while, the green dot is on and if they are offline for a while, it will change the time. If I click on their name when it says 1m, it says they are active. I'm just confused.
