I have been at my job for a little over 2 years. I started off at minimum wage. a year later, new management took over, I had an evaluation and have since been making 8.25 per hour. recently, about 3 months ago maybe, we have had some seasonal employees come in. I have just found out that they are being started off at 9.00 an hour. I confronted my manager about it, and he acted as if it was nothing at first. "minimum wage is going up in july anyways", "i cant do anything about it until I get your evaluation", and more bs. to me, and to everyone else I have talked to, this is not fair. im pretty sure that its not quite illegal, but it is definitely not fair. is there anything that I can do about this situation to get what I deserve and have worked for for 2 years? I feel taken advantage of. and obviously I am now looking for a new job but I feel like something should be done, I do not want anyone to think they can walk all over their employees and get away with it.
Unfair wages. anything I can do?
