Um a guy asked, "Hey, so I wanted to ask, do I know you or you just wanted to be friends" What?

he wants to know if you know him would you like to be friends and if thats the case then we have to get to know each other better just in case you want more and he does like you it sounds like so its basically up to you where it goes from here
