Trying to find out how and where you check a log when and error comes up?

All of a sudden in right hand corner of tv screen it will say...no streaming available check your log.  What and where is the log? This happened on Placenta.

That's where open source generally fails as a product, error handling for devs.
Are there any other problems? Have you attempted to reset the device? You might post an issue in the github repository.

I have resolved it, placenta is one of the apps...it had quite working and now back, thank you for the help.  My frustration was when it says ck log but now I realize when that happens I just have to try other apps...I'm not real swift with technology 82 years old but not afraid to learn.  Thank you both for the help!
