My truck threw a rod for some reason even though i had plenty of oil. I had no warning at all i went to start it then it threw the rod. I got a loaner from the dealership while i wait for repairs but the loaner broke down on my way to work. Oil pressure light came on and car just cut off. I was almost hit by another car that was behind me and mind you this is at 1145 at night. I work nights. What can i do once again i had no warning. I was going 70 mph on the highway and the car behind me was to when the engine shut off i started slowing down very quickly and didnt have time to turn on my hazards. Luckily the other car realized it in time and was able to avoid me. I want to know what i can and should do in this situation?
Truck is in shop at dealership for repairs they gave me a loaner. The loaner broke what can I do?

call the dealership and say what you wrote here. they will get a tow truck and lend you another car because it was a normal wear and tear problem not something you did. Unless it really is empty and in that case put some gas in it and try to run it if it runs take it to the dealership and exchange it for something that doesn't have a bad gas reader.
