It may be harder to keep track of your period at school. Here are some tips to deal with it at scchool. And don't worry! Every single girl has or has had to go through this,so they will understand.Don't feel embarrased.
1. Come to school all fresh & clean. You should have a clean pair of undies.Change your feminine product often enough to avoid smelling bad and to help, wear perfume.
2. As u said u don't go to bathroom, try wearing high absorbency "tempon",so you can go through the whole school day,but remember that it is not so safe to use a tempon for more than 8 consistent hours,
3. Don't sweat it! Every girl has to go through it sometime if she hasn't already.Chances are that some of the girls in your class have their periods & feel the same way.
4. Don't be embarrassed either. There is no reason to be embarrased about your perion. It is just a part of life & it happens. If you have a situation & need help, ask privatly to your female teacher/secreatory/nurse.
5. You should still carry a extra pads/tempon with you,it would be useful if u face a critical situation.
6. If you don't like tampons & pads, like for sports & long term activites, you might want to try the "diva cup".It is a reusable cup that is like tampon & won't leak if you have it in right. The cup can last upto 12 hours before you need to change it.
7. Use Period Panties meant for periods.Regular panties do not serve the purpose.Adiral Period Panties are Leak-Proof & Breathable,so no bad odor. Also you can use one of the "EVE" products to keep odor away.
Btw I have a male teacher.
I'm sorry to say you will have to change your pad... unless you want there to be a huge blood stain on your pants ( this happened too me and it wasn't fun at all) as for your friend you can tell a teacher or a trusted adult, handle it yourself, or realise that there not real friends if they tease you like that... I told my best friend and she was supportive and didn't tease me or anything
Hope this helped and good luck
Hey! So, I actually totally forgot about this question.. I got an e-mail telling me somebody responded so here I am but anywah, I asked this question around three years ago when I was 10 (i'm 13 (14 in june) and in 8th grade now) but I actually haven't ever changed my pad during school and I haven't leaked yet! I usually wear two of them at the same time though because i'm extremely paranoid.. I know it's a big unhygenic but I mean what can I do y'know? I don't believe anything happened that day nobody noticed or said anything and if they did it obviously wasn't signifigant or I would've remembered. I remember telling one of my friends about it and they were totally cool with it I remember she bombarded me with questions though.. Anyway thank you for the response anyway! My 10 year old self would have really appreciated it! (Wow how I used to type back then is making me cringe)
Ok I know it may be hard for you that you started your period at 10. I can tell you some tips since I started mine when I saw 9 also known a small last year. I know it may be late to reply but, on your bloody days just wear leggings or black pants and a pad and you'll be just fine. I wear black leggings and play sports just fine, and by sports I'm mean like soccer, mma, the harsh ones.To keep track of it, during recess(nutrition)oAND lunch, or every 2-3 hours ,go to the rest room and a check or maybe change the pad/tampon to make sure you get no leakage.I don't know about you but I go to a school raging to 4-12 so I know for sure it's not just me having the period, so I case the period just comes and I don't have a pad I can just ask for one or make a temporary one for the class period.Let me just tell you that you must go to the restroom and change the pad or else the can infect you and you might get very very ill in the vagnal area.Even if you don't need to.
Thx for the advice! But non of the other girls have their period im 10 and in fifth grade. And my mom will never let me use tampons and school is 7 hours and i go somewhere after school so tampons are out but nice advice :)
