fixed or unfixed?

Your question is unclear. Being a science fiction topic, it can be anything your story telling skill can support.
Teorically fixed.
Scientists from the University of Queensland, Australia, have used single particles of light (photons) to simulate quantum particles travelling through time. They showed that one photon can pass through a wormhole and then interact with its older self. Their findings were published in Nature Communications.
The source of this time travel conundrum comes from what are called “closed time like curves” (CTC).
CTCs are used to simulate extremely powerful gravitational fields, like the ones produced by a spinning black hole, and could, theoretically (based on Einstein’s theory of general relativity), warp the fabric of existence so that space time bends back on itself – thus creating a CTC, almost like a path that could be used to travel back in time.
sounds convincing
Key words: simulate, wormhole, powerful gravitational fields, black hole, fabric of existence, space time, bends back on itself.
These words are very popular these days, but they are totally unscientific. Science is based on observations, and all these words are based on assumptions. No connection. According to theory, a black hole can exist only if it is the only thing in its universe. There are many other proofs that black holes are impossible IRL, but the scientists are having so much fun playing with their b.s. theories that they simply refuse to consider them.
is it pre determined or not?
