At the moment, my cat "Nutters" is hunting, and cornering the mouse. He cannot get up to where the mouse is. I don't want him to kill the poor creature, and putting it outside in the pouring rain, it will just make its way back in. Is there any kind of way to make a makeshift habitat for the critter until the weather dies down and I can put it closer to the forest and away from my home? Or should I catch and release it? How so?
