I have been studying martial arts (Karate, Jiu-jitsu, Filipino Martial Arts, & Muay Thai) for quite some years now. It became my passion since I was young because I grew up in a dangerous country (Philippines) and I wanted to learn self defense for my own well-being and for discipline. The only thing I need now is a code that I can truely follow and live under. I am inspired by how the Samurai's lived and die as warriors. Then I became interested in the way of Bushido. Is it disrespectful for me to study and follow Bushido if I'm not Japanese? I just wanted to ask out of respect. Thank you.

In Japan it was called bushido, the way of the warrior. In England it was called chivalry, the way of the horseman. In USA it is just called manliness, not directly associated with war.
