The school my daughter goes too will not let here wear shoes on their new gym floor. Is this allowed

Wood gym floors are painted with a special formula that is very much softer than normal paint. Shoes that are worn outside pick up bits of sand in the soles and scratch the floor. So they don't want you to wear shoes unless they have rubber soles and you only wear them in the gym.
