in latin lucifer means "light bringer". the star in the morning which is talking about the planet venus.
so why is the name "lucifer" used when christians talk about the devil? i always thought that's what it meant to. i'm also a christian. it's just something i've wondered about since i learned what it really means.
i should correct what i wrote. i'm talking about isahia 14: 12-15 in the king james bible. he was called "lucifer son in the morning" i read about it and learned that it is discribing the planet venus. i also saw the same thing in a documentary. i think it was "brad meltzers Decoded" the episode about the statue of liberty. i can't find my bible right now but when i do i'll read it again.
