The application is mentioned opensource but there is pricing on it . why?

I want to use xero accounting software as it is mentioned open source but there is pricing mentioned on it. Then how is it open source? Can i download the source code for free?

Answer

"Open source" means you can get a free copy of the program and its source. When you buy a copy, you get a lot of things like a pretty interface and template files and books explaining how the program works. A free copy is not a bargain.
