I have seen a lot of questions regarding this. Is it okay for a teenager to sit in a booster seat with the 5 point harness system? I have seen a lot of answers is no, but if they feel comfortable in it. A 5 point harness is safer then a seat belt I was told so would like an answer on this.

The 5 point harness seat and seatbelt have a weight limit. If your teenager is still within this weight limit, then I suppose it is ok for them to use it. 5 point harness is safer for children that won’t stay in the correct position during the entire car ride (even when asleep) but there is no research suggesting that the 5 point harness (as opposed to the 3 point seatbelt) is safer in a crash for older children. So I think the decision is for you to make. Just make sure your child is not too big and heavy to fit into the 5 point harness booster properly.
